We ordered the collars and wanted one that you didn't have to do the "shock" but has tone, vibration and shock... We have just used the tone and vibration and they have not left their mapped area. Originally gave 3 stars because of the satellite interference when the dogs sleep under the vehicles, but over time all the dogs do not cross our circle drive way and do not go up to the black top any more. It is such a peace of mind! Also having the remote is super easy to switch on and get them to stop digging in the mulch! I love that it covers all the farm ground around our house but keeps them off the road. Our new puppy especially knows his limits. What a great invention, I have 2 collars so far that I alternate on the dogs. I will most likely buy a third. The battery lasts about a full day and night. However will fully charge in about 2 hours. Also they have proven to be water proof as our dogs never stay out of the stock tanks.

Overall, the collar seems to work well. The GPS boundary doesn’t seem to be the most precise, but it generally stays close. It sort of has a tendency to “float”. I have had to reset the fence in the app when it deleted it for some reason, but it hasn’t happened again.

So when I can adjust the gps part so that he doesn't get confused he'll be good, sometimes it goes off when I don't want it to and doesn't when I want it to. Bought 2 collars. Cons: #1 Battery life. I was hoping for at least 3 days battery life. Getting maybe a day to 30hrs. tops. #2. Setting up the boundaries has a little learning curve. Took a little bit of trial and error to get it exactly where I wanted it. However got them both set. Pro: Did a little trying with them. Turned them loose. The went past the boundary and and got corrected several times. Now the get to the fence and it keeps they immediately turn around. Had no problems with them leaving our property now. Other than battery life im happy with the product.

We have only been using it for a few days now, but it is working flawlessly so far. It did take quite a while for it to connect to a satellite signal during the setup process, longer than the 1-3 minutes listed in the instructions, it was more like 15 minutes. We do live out in the country tho so I am sure that is why. I love the adjustable collar, I was able to take it all the way down to fit my 1 year old toy golden doodle but yet it is still light enough that it doesn't weigh her down and it doesn't bother her at all. I started it out on the sound and vibration combo and so far she is taking the warnings and turning around to stay within her parameters and out of the road. The map was super easy to set up in the app and was within just a few feet of where I wanted it, adjusted it a little and it was perfect. So far, I highly recommend this system!

Set up with the app made setting boundaries easy although we are still tweaking the exact locations. Both dogs adapted quickly to the collar and no shock required…..the sound and vibration was enough to stop them in their tracks and they very quickly learned just how far they could go. If the screen on the collar was thinner and had less info that would be ideal. It’s heavy for our smaller 10 lb dog. The app is easier to use for that information and just really need to see how much battery life is left on the collar

Took a hot minute to set up, but once we did, with a couple of trials and errors, it is now fully functioning. We are moving to a new house. The old house was set up with another system with underground wires and a collar. Therefore, my pup is used to the collar. On the old property, I have been in training mode to get her used to the new system. Thankfully, this took a day, and without the use of the shocking system. She is responding to the sound and vibration beautifully. Next is the move to the new property and using only the new Pawtronics system. I am hopeful that she will still only need the alarm and vibration mode, not the shock. She will have to learn her new boundaries, but I anticipate it being just as easy to learn as the old property. Setting up the 2 properties in the app was simple using Google Maps and diagonal, not circular, mapping.

The collars work great! My 2 dogs back away as soon as it beeps. The gps is a little confusing at the start, but we figured it out pretty quickly. In order for it to work it has to be out of buildings, so it will take a minute to connect to a satellite after it exits a building. You can add as many collars to it as you want and add as many boundaries per collar as you want. I would suggest that you read the instruction manual thoroughly and tinker with the app a little bit. Also the gps locator only works if you are within Bluetooth range and it is enabled. (Everything else like boundaries .ect requires Bluetooth to change) But other then figuring out the app it works amazing.

It took a few hours for me to figure out how to set up the collars, fence, and training settings, but they work great. It took almost no time to train them to stay within the marked boundary. Our dogs stayed on our property pretty well before, but they had been chasing cars that go past our acreage and occasionally wandering over to the neighbors. They haven't chased any cars, and they have stayed on our place since I began using the collars. Mission accomplished. Pawtronic was much more affordable than other options i looked at that could have a custom shaped fence. A circular boundary would not work for us. Highly recommend!

Functions as it should. I like the variable settings for deterrence. GPS is a bit finicky. Fence line will move 15ft between uses and alert in approved areas. The remote is very useful to keep the puppy out of gardens with in the boundaries. Overall so far so good.

I liked the collar so much I wound up buying a second, it has helped keep our pups off the black top, I love that the boundary covers our house plus the two farm fields on each side of the house. Still trying to trouble shoot the collar however because if they nap under the trailers or near the house the collar will lose signal and if it is not connected to the satellite the fence boundary will not work. It does take a good amount of time to get the collar to connect to the satellite so potentially if they were sleeping under the trailer and then took off for the road it will not stop them fast enough. I did have to take the time to train the boundary areas and so far I can tell it has worked.

Really do love not having buried wires and ability to control type of correction when a “mistake” is made. One problem I have is setting and maintaining the center point. For our property, the center point has to be between our house and garage, about 4 ft., and we do not get a strong gps signal there. What can you recommend?

We like it, haven't figured out how to use the actual boundary from my phone but set up the radius from the collar itself. I am not a fan of the battery life we were hoping to get more than 12 hours of charge I work 12 hour shifts and have to drive a ways to work. Would've liked atleast 3 days worth of charge so we could be gone a weekend and not have to worry about the dogs.

It is getting the job done! My dog was the escape artist of the year. She would chase cars and run off all over the woods which meant cockaburs and ticks for me to remove. She now chases the birds IN THE YARD! I can now relax when I let her outside and she enjoys the freedom of moving all around the yard. My only complaint is that the charge only lasts for two days but hey that is not big thing. I just plug it in every night. I’m not a fan of the app but it did the job when I needed to create a fence. I loved seeing the layers to help me draw my fence. We don’t have the bear GPS signals but as I said it has slowed her roll.

I love these collars with the exception of of few more minor things. First, not really the fault of the collar but it does loose gps connection as soon as they walk under a metal roof. We have a shouse so they still work with the controller and the app but as soon as they walk onto the patio or front walkway signal lost. And it takes a bit longer for it to find a signal than I expected so my dogs can easily make it to the road before it connects. Second, it is not the simplest to turn the GPS fence on/off from the collar. I have ran into a couple of times now that I have the hand control with me and not my phone and want to leave our fenced area but I have to take their collars off to navigate to and change the fence mode to off. It would also be helpful to be able to share GPS fences across multiple collars. I can't get the maps to match 100% for both dogs so one dog just gets to go 10 feet further than the other dog. Lastly, I'm 50/50 on the design of changing intensities. While it's nice that I can connect 2 collars to one remote (would be even better if I could connect both collars to both remotes) and the insities are set for each collar. Determining what insity level to set was a little inconvenient having to do multiple steps to increase. But once we found the sweet spot for each dog it's been a non issue. Overall I would still highly recommend these collars. My dogs learned to obey them very quickly with relatively no training. The activity stats are fun to see. I love that I can have a gps fence and a hand control, it's convient when I take them for a walk down the road I don't have to change collars. My dogs are 1 and 2 years old and rough players so they have been through the mud and put to the test and have held up great! Again overall I LOVE these collars there's just a few convience things I would like to see upgraded.

Because our lake property is a long, skinny rectangle this fence was the best option. Others use a circular shape but PawTronic is GREAT because you’re able to trace property lines! There is a 10-15’ (ish) variance at times on either side of the traced lines but I think that’s pretty typical with this technology. Our Great Dane uses Invisible Fence at our home and it took her about an hour to learn where boundaries are established at the lake! Highly recommend.
